The silver-colored pins shown here are made from bright and durable stainless steel. I give them a scratch-brush finish to give them a look which is much like pewter. Unlike silver, they do not tarnish easily and can be cleaned with Windex.
The maple leaf pin is made from brass and copper. The color pattern on each pin is different, for it forms randomly as the metal cools after welding. Each leaf shape is also slightly different. The color will not change. Treat the maple pins as you would any lacquered piece of jewelry.
These pins measure about 2 inches in maximum dimension. Each comes in a cotton-filled jewelry box and is backed with a high-quality nickel-plated pin clasp which is guaranteed against breakage.
